I think the veil that separates the two worlds that you describe is very flimsy for many of us. The confusion and uncertainty you have to live with must be heartbreaking. Camus suggested another perspective: that Sisyphus found meaning - and even a form of happiness - in his never-ending struggle. I'd like to believe that's true.
I've been thinking about "the veil" as you put it. I'm now rethinking my life - too many incidents like that since the illness. But at least I'm now able to differentiate.
Being able to differentiate sounds like a big step forward. Each of us is flawed and wounded, and each of us is a work in progress. I have so much respect for you and for your ability to persevere.
